Sunday | Day 1 | En Route
Depart the U.S. for your flight to Nairobi.

Monday | Day 2 | Nairobi
Welcome to the Safari Capital of the world! Meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel set among beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking Central Park and the city center. Spend the evening at leisure.

Tuesday | Day 3 | Nairobi
After breakfast, attend a Professional Meeting.  Then take advantage of a variety of optional tours. You may choose to visit the home of Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa, or tour Giraffe Education Center, where you can hand feed magnificent and rare Rothschild giraffes. This afternoon, visit to the Kenya Cultural Center, a kaleidoscope of the country’s treasured arts, crafts, songs, daily life and traditions. See folk dancing in superb settings and visit authentic bomas (villages) representative of Kenya’s 16 different ethnic groups. Tonight, our Welcome Dinner celebrates your arrival. BD

Wednesday | Day 4    Nairobi | Aberdare National Park
Today, we head north passing through Thika, which boasts the world’s third largest pineapple plantation. Arrive at Aberdare Country club and enjoy lunch. This afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the open air viewing deck that overlooks a floodlit water hole and salt lick, which attracts herds of awesome wildlife. Warm clothing is advisable as nights tend to be chilly. BLD

Thursday | Day 5 | Mt. Kenya
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before departing to the Western side of the mountain for a Professional Visit. Enjoy lunch at the incomparable Mount Kenya Safari Lodge, playground to the rich and famous for years, with lush, landscaped gardens, golf course, swimming pool and breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains. The Mount Kenya Safari Club is world renowned for the sheer luxury of its accommodations and utter drama of its setting. It is a day for relaxation and roaming the resort’s magnificent grounds.  Bird watch, fish, play tennis or golf – Relax poolside.  BLD

Friday | Day 6 | Masai Mara
In Masai Mara touring will be in a shared vehicle with other lodge participants.
After breakfast, transfer to the Nanyuki airstrip for a 45 minute flight to the storied Masai Mara and Northern Serengeti. From the plane see the sweeping landscapes of Kenya and multitudes of game crossing the vast and varied terrain. On the ground, you’re as close as you’ll ever be to migrating herds, prides of lion lazing in the shade, zebra, wildebeest and ivory tusked elephants. Enjoy lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the reserve. BLD

Saturday | Day 7 | Masai Mara
Enjoy a full day in the Mara with two game drives per day. The Masai Mara offers wonderful scenery and an abundance of big game. It is perhaps, the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same abundance that existed a century ago. It is a reserve of breathtaking vistas, panoramas of vast rolling plains, hills and woodland groves, well watered by the lovely Mara River which bisects the Reserve from north to south. BLD

Sunday | Day 8 | Masai Mara – Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast transfer to the air strip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi.  Upon arrival, transfer to the Carnivore restaurant for lunch. After, enjoy a drive to Amboseli where you’ll arrive with an en route game drive in Amboseli National Park. BLD

Monday | Day 9 | Amboseli National Park
Enjoy a full day at Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants and other wildlife species. Other attractions at the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. BLD

Tuesday | Day 10 | Ambolseli – Namanga - Arusha
This morning you will drive to Namanga border and proceed to Arusha. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure on your own or enjoy some optional activities offered at the lodge.  BLD

Wednesday | Day 11  Arusha | Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. Enjoy a game drive. After lunch proceed to Ngorongoro Explorean Lodge where you will have the rest of the day at leisure. BLD

Thursday | Day 12 | Ngorongoro
After breakfast depart to the Nogorongoro Conservation Area which covers approximately 8,288 sq. kms, 16 to 19 kms., across the floor, and surrounds three lakes, Natron, Eyasi and Manyara. The crater floor has beautiful grasslands which carry as estimated average of some 30,000 large mammals, including wildebeest, zebra, lion, hyena, rhino, cheetah, gazelle and baboon. This high concentration of resident animals offers a tremendous spectacle. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half day game drive. After lunch return to your lodge.  BLD

Friday | Day 13 | Ngorongoro – Arusha – Nairobi
After breakfast drive to Arusha for lunch. After, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred to your hotel and have the remainder of the day at leisure. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell dinner that will cap your magnificent journey.   BLD

Saturday | Day 14 | Depart
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the U.S.   B

Visa is required for U.S. & Canadian Citizens – and can be obtained upon arrival in Kenya.

Important Note:
The price above reflects the current (2014) VAT applicable in Tanzania. In November 2014, the Tanzanian Government will be voting to increase the VAT to 18%, if this law passes the price will increase between $135.00 to $155.00 per person in a twin room dependent on date of departure.

International flight arrangements. We will be happy to assist you with your International air arrangements.

Air Information:
Please be sure to call the airline to ensure your flight is leaving on time.
Please affix your baggage tags securely to your luggage and wear your name tag, particularly upon arrival in Nairobi, so that your guide/representative will identify you as part of our group.

Please note that our tours permit ONE (1) piece of checked luggage and ONE (1) carry-on which must fit beneath the seat in front of you on the aircraft. Our tour to Kenya & Tanzania provides a land rover seating 6 in each car so that everyone can have his/her own window – There is no additional room for extra luggage.  (Also, we have been advised that it is best to use ‘soft’ luggage rather than hard.

Please also note that since there are some small aircraft flights within Kenya, luggage weight is limited to 15 kilos (approximately 33 lbs) so the entire checked luggage should not exceed this amount.
